The Cost of Immortals

I saw her at the sky above,
the stars are at her feet
She was soaring like dove,
and it makes my heart leap

She was ready to come down,
and I was waiting at ground
To make a smile out of a frown,
and make the heart's fastest pound

But alas the winds blew her back,
and left me with nothing but tears
All the pain and sorrow attack,
losing her was my greatest fear

So I set forth to the highest,
with the hope of his mighty aid
He told me she was the finest,
an immortal that will never fade

I gathered all my treasures,
and hoped for the greatest trade,
It was for the longing of pleasures,
that I'm risking my own fate

But he never gave permission,
and told me to wait until death
He never made assumptions,
I asked for a clear price or debt

I waited for an eternity,
and hair turned white and grey
I went through insanity,
and the loneliness made it's prey

A long agony then death came,
and I need to close my eyes
Then suddenly a beautiful dame,
came to me as I slowly die

She was my angel from above,
the one I've been longing
My Lord gave me that dove,
for the price of my life losing

No wonder he kept me waiting,
and kept me to heaven's portals
He took my life as good pricing,
and taught me the cost of immortals
