The Peaceful Revolution

1986- The year when this country was liberated from the grip of dictatorship through a peaceful revolution. A revolution that urged the sense of freedom to the whole world making the Philippines as the inspiration for the other countries to bring to their own land the sweet breeze of freedom. During those times, Europe was divided by the iron curtain that the communist regime set up to prevent western ideas to enter their land. At that time also, the CPP-NPA, a pro-communism movement; was threatening the regime of Marcos, thus, the former enacted the Presidential Proclamation No. 1081; putting the entire country into Marshall Law.

Even though his intentions were good, Marcos abused the use of Marshall Law by necking the rights of the people (an example of this abuse is the abolishing of the Writ of Habeas Corpuz). The people became very careful of the things that express about the government. If they were to speak against the regime, they would face the inhumane consequences. The fear of death ruled over the people for 20 years of the Marcos regime.

Benigno Simeon ''Ninoy'' Aquino Jr.- The man who sparked the sense of freedom and change to the Filipino People during those dark times of dictatorship. Marcos treated Aquino as threat to his administration and he tried all means to oppress him and make him as one of his allies. When all else failed, and Aquino's declining health, Marcos decided to exile Ninoy to the states where the former stayed for 3 years with his family. During this years, Aquino fueled the minds of the people for change, urging them to fight for what they believe in as he did back in the Philippines. After this, Ninoy decided to go back to his fatherland to continue the fight against the regime.Aquino did return to the country; but he only lived for a few minutes after arriving-He was assassinated.

Aquino's death made the people very furious against the administration. Corazon Aquino, Ninoy's widow, became the representative of the masses against Marcos. She participated in the snap elections that Marcos cheated to win. Due to the threats they've received from the Regime, Juan Ponce Enrile and Gen. Fidel Ramos turned their loyalty from Marcos.
Everything seems to be ready for a civil war, but that didn't happened. Instead a peaceful revolution occurred. A revolution that changed the Philippines we know today.

So as citizens of this country, we should be proud of our people did for the sake of freedom and democracy. We should apply it in our every day lives, and teach it to the future generations to come.

The Rose Arch

Under the rose arch we went,
to see if this two worlds can mend

We swore eternal promises,
and faced all the challenges

Under the rose arch we went,
to give our hearts as we lend

We gave sweet words and accolades,
and made a lot of  beautiful charades

But as the ages reached it's toll,
that rose arch came to fall

Letting those promises die,
and disappeared without a sign

The Words Made Me Smile

The words made me smile,
but it left the bitterness
There was a chance,
but no escaping sadness

I think I had the done good,
but still I'm disappointed
I can live happily today,
but nothing is attracted

Maybe I'm not that ready,
and the time is to early
But like a wandering pigeon,
I'll calling that heart as home

Desencantado

When I decided to move,
It suddenly flew away
Carrying all my chances,
I was abashed and dismayed

If it's true that all things attract,
and all things collide together
Then all of this dreams and fantasies,
I give it by a sweet surrender

Time came to early this moment,
and all the things seems to be gentle
But to point out the facts in this story,
someone must go and enter

It's sad to see a butterfly flew,
away from that sunset sky
But if nothingness is coming,
there's no more choice than to die

Gently; the Questions Rage

Who is the coward?
The one who sees awkward

Who makes every move as critical,
and makes his days radical

Why is he a coward?
The one who make things awkward

He makes a lot of excuses,
but inside his helpless

When will he be brave?
when the wind hits him in the face

Gently; the questions rage,
when will he be saved?

The Rotten Tomorrow

If the wise men said proverbs,
today; only priest calls them wise
For now we enter a world,
where the people are demised

Charity is now only a myth,
for the wealth is to scarce
Even the tinniest grain of wheat,
will be gone if the moment's harsh

In times you seek comfort,
some people calls you forgotten
But when that time came to them,
they couldn't carry the burden

If this is will go on in the future,
there will be no chance for them,
For the plant that we planted,
is bearing a rotten fruit to lend

Finding a True Friend

Look and you shall never see,
a friend that is truly trust worthy

Who stand by your side in a calamity,
and helps you when in time you're worried

For this world had vomited a lot of demons,
that stab you at the back on collision

If you do found someone you can trust,
never let go of that meaningful bond

For this world is full of traitors,
and a friend shall be our saviors

Why?

Why do I feel this pain?
I've never gone so insane

Just words of love,
but no action to move

Why do I have this chains?
I've never in lanes

Just a peek of attraction,
but no sence of emotion

Why do I stand in rain?
the weather is just plain

If this things is indeed true,
Why do I have to prove?

I Took a Pencil and a Paper

Abashed and forgotten,
I wrote things to be saddened
Every pencil stroke sees my sorrow,
to a piece of paper I write tomorrow

The beating of my heart seems endless,
and this world can't get enough of the madness
I took a pencil to write everything down,
but my face is still showing a frown

They labeled me as the coward,
and it took me to the awkwards
I took a piece of paper to write it down,
but my face is still showing a frown

All the things are torn apart,
singing with the melody of a broken heart
I've thought of giving everything up,
yet a force kept me to be tough

So as I took a pencil and a paper,
I remember all the things of the latter
I'll wrote all it's complications,
and maybe I'll get all the reasons

On My Special Day

On my special day,
I ask no celebration
No wine and parties,
no turmoil and obsession

On my special day,
I ask no material gift
No necklace or rings,
no objects and scenes

On my special day,
I ask no glory
Only thy love is worthy,
and begin a new journey

February

Roses and perfumes,
everywhere and it blooms
Sweet words are thrown,
sharp thorns are shown

Chocolates and poems,
gifts that everyone assume
All the grounds are set,
for this love they bet

Answers and success,
fills the air and obsessed
February in indeed here,
and only love we hold dear

Who Is This Person?

Who is this person,
that seeks your attention?

The one who sits a meter away,
but walks a mile to see your face

Who walks on spikes and thorns,
and heard a lot of false sworn

Who is this person,
that seeks your attention?

The one who talks to enigmas,
and prays for some magic dust

Who slowly die in vain,
and lives on a world that rains

Who is this person,
Who seeks your attention?
