Freelancing #15

A summer filled with hopes and dreams,
of youthful strength and an age old fear
A subject of ridicule from all her peers,
now she promises to not shed a single tear

With vigor and pure determination, she marched,
fearing no obstacle; to combat the might of the storm
Looking up to the sky, she prayed before she charged,
with the wind in on her side; breaking all wrongful norms

As the days go by and by she grew tired,
placed her wings to rest and looked up to her sire
Of all the creatures who cried out to heaven she was beloved,
her cause was that voice of the millions and not of a hundred

In every hearts she is still remembered dearly,
for she lived and she died with us everyday
She is born when we see new things happily,
will we let her die as we turn dreams to dismay?
